Speak French like an expert in 10 minutes #39

Do you want to impress and sound like an expert when you speak French? I'm sure you've tried learning tons of vocabulary and complex grammar rules. Still, you probably noticed it's one thing to learn vocab, but it's another to build up your "complexity muscle" when speaking. So today, I'm going to show you one super simple exercise to help you elevate your French in under 10 minutes. You're going to summon the expert in you, so give me all you got in today's interactive episode, and you'll upgrade your French in no time!

You're going to learn:

- the difference between developing speaking fluency vs speaking complexity

- how to talk about anything like an expert using the 5 levels approach

- how to incorporate this approach into your learning routine

Today's takeaway:

1. To develop speaking complexity, practise talking about the same thing 5 times in 5 levels of difficulty: you can answer questions like the 5 levels game in the episode, you can describe something you see and increase the details and depth of your answer, you can define words...

2. This exercise will help you find your sweet spot. What level are you most comfortable at? To build up speaking complexity, work in increments by focusing on the next level first. Let's say your sweet spot is around 2, what can you change to become comfortable at a 3?

3. Repeat: the more you practice, the easier it will get!
